In order to make a first-hand assessment of the situation after the fire, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar, paid a visit to the old town of Baramulla on Monday where she met with the victims of the fire whose dwelling houses were destroyed in a recent massive fire. .

It should be mentioned here that several families were affected by a massive fire on the 07th of this month.

On the occasion, the DC was informed of the victims of the fire and it was informed that 21 families were affected due to the massive fire.

The DC toured gutted houses and interacted with affected families. She was also briefed on the condition and situation after the fire facing affected families.

The DC provided immediate relief of Rs 50,000 to each affected family.

Relevantly, the district administration had provided immediate assistance with tents and blankets to the victims for their temporary rehabilitation.

The DC also ensured all possible support from the district administration to the victims of the fire.
