He says the agriculture sector suffered a loss of $1.9 million as a result of TC Cody.

Agriculture Minister Dr Mahendra Reddy said he received 43,447 applications which were carefully assessed before a final list was drawn up.

He says four types of assistance have been deployed as a result of TC Cody, and the funds disbursed today were for the first assistance only.

“They can either use that money to rent machinery, buy fertilizer, buy inputs, whether it’s seeds, planting materials or nursery stock, etc.”
